Hi, I'm looking for a good PhotoShop tutorial for airbrushing skin. I use PhotoShop CS3. All of the ones I've found thus far are not effective and leave the image plastic-looking.

i downloaded a free photoshop trial and im trying to find out how to get a picture on there to edit,,,i can't open any pics form my pc on there,,,im confused where do i get the pics to edit them on photoshop??? please help me
There are different types of photos. Each has a different file extension. I suggest you do a search of your C: drive and look for *.jpg or *.gif. If any are found then remember what directory they are in. While in Photoshop click on File %26gt; Open and find the directory the search found. Then click on one or more of the photos and click Open.
Try dragging the file into the photoshop window.
You should be able to just drag photos onto the editor. If that's not working for you you should try cutting and pasting. If you're using the trial version don't expect any amazing results. Trials are cheap.
If I download the adobe free trial on my computer, it is free for 30 days so after 30 days what happens?
Photoshop is expensive so I don't want to have to pay for it.
will it delete after 30 days or what??

You will have two choices:
1.buy license
2. uninstall program (properly)

umm. i always see ppl with pictures where one color stands out from the rest and the pic is in black and white. now how would i do this? i have no idea if its photoshop? or how to work it. could someone photoshop a pic for me?? thanks :)
As is true of many procedures in Photoshop, there are several ways of doing selective color. This is a quick and easy method.
First open your photo in PS of course.
Then go to Layer - Duplicate Layer
Click OK
Then go to Image - Adjustments - Hue / Saturation
Drag the Saturation slider all the way to the left to make the photo black and white.
Click OK
Then get the ERASER tool from the tool box on the left side of the screen. It is usually the next tool under the clone stamp tool. Just hover your mouse over the tool, and it will say Eraser.
When you have selected the Eraser, go up to the Brush options box at the top of the screen, and click on the downfacing arrow. Set the Hardness of the brush to 100% so you will have accurate control of selection. You may also need to raise or lower the brush size to suit.
Erase away any black and white from where you want the color to be revealed.
When done go to
Layer - Flatten Image
Then just do a Save As to wherever you want to save the photo.
i save the jpg closed photoshop didnot save the psd..can i restore it?

sorry you can't - photoshop temp files can be gigabytes in size so it's not really practical to keep them around when the program closes.
An autosave function isn't really practical either as the files can be so large as to cause quite a problem when autosaving, just got to keep your finger on the old ''command s'' trigger

where in photoshop cs3 are such tools as -
magic wand (I need to know this the most, and I can't find it near to quick selection tool)
paint bucket
line/curve
move selection
Open your Tools window (Windows %26gt; Tools).
The second icon down on the right should be the 'magic wand'. Paint Bucket is under Gradient - you need to click and hold down the icon to see all the tools (sixth down on the right), Line/Curve is under Rectangle Tool (ninth down on the right), Move Selection is the Hand tool, bottom left.
